“Magic Dust” by Chef James

The name truly says it all. This is my custom blend of select herbs and spices added to large flake sea salt. In most of my recipes when I need a pinch of salt this is what I reach for to create that magical undertone.

From Yuck to Yum, a True Story:

James, for several years our daughter seemed to exist on bread, tortillas and air. Certain raw vegetables were ok, but nothing cooked. Then we noticed her watching me put a pinch of your Magic Dust on some braised carrots. She still would not eat the cooked carrots but asked if she could put some of the “magic stuff” on her raw carrots. We watched for a few weeks as she placed the smallest of pinches on her veggies. One day when corn on the cob was served and there were no raw vegies, she looked around and asked: "where is the magic stuff?" The transition was seamless and now it seems she is trying a new veggie just about every month... either raw or cooked.
